Skin cancer checks, mole mapping and surgical treatment in Eatons Hill. Led by Dr Alireza Afrasiabi of the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine. Book a skin check.
Eaton Central Skin Clinic provides thorough skin checks, mole mapping and surgical treatment for patients across Eatons Hill and North Brisbane. The clinic operates from the same rooms as Eaton Central Family Practice, with a smaller team of doctors focused specifically on skin cancer diagnosis, monitoring and treatment.
A full skin check takes around twenty minutes and includes a head-to-toe examination using a dermatoscope. Anything suspicious is recorded, photographed where needed, and followed up through the same clinic.
The clinic is led by Dr Alireza Afrasiabi, who holds further qualifications with the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine, including the training required for more complex procedures such as skin flap repairs. He is supported by Dr Nima Nemati, Dr Homa Askari, Dr Sahar Behnam and Dr Lindsey Jones, who between them cover skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, dermatoscopy, and primary care dermatology.
Mole mapping and follow-up skin check photography are available to track changes over time, which is especially useful for patients with many moles or a family history of melanoma.
Looking for a regular GP? Eaton Central Family Practice operates from the same rooms, with a broader team of doctors offering general practice, women's and children's health, chronic disease management and more.

A standard skin check takes around twenty minutes. The doctor will ask about your skin history, any spots you're concerned about, and relevant medical background, then examine your skin from head to toe using a dermatoscope, a handheld device that magnifies the skin surface and helps identify features invisible to the naked eye.
Suspicious spots are photographed and recorded. If a biopsy or removal is recommended, this can usually be arranged at a follow-up appointment in the same rooms.
For patients with many moles or a family history of melanoma, mole mapping and follow-up skin check photography are available to track changes over time.
